What are hemp THC drinks?
They're beverages infused with Delta-9 THC extracted from hemp. Same compound found in cannabis, just sourced from federally legal hemp plants. They come as seltzers, sparkling waters, tonics, sodas, cocktail-style drinks, and shots. Most are lightly dosed (2 to 5mg THC per can) and designed for a relaxed, social experience.
Are hemp THC drinks legal?
At the federal level, yes. The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and hemp-derived products containing under 0.3% THC. Every product on ShopKanna meets that standard. That said, some states have added their own restrictions, which is why we can't ship everywhere. We monitor state laws closely and only ship where it's clearly legal to do so.
How is this different from marijuana?
The THC molecule is identical. The difference is the source plant and the concentration. Hemp is legally defined as cannabis containing under 0.3% THC. The drinks we carry use THC extracted from hemp, at doses typically between 2 and 10mg per serving. The effect is real but measured. These aren't edibles that knock you sideways.
What's Delta-9 THC?
Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. It's the naturally occurring form of THC, and it's what produces the relaxation, mood lift, and mild euphoria people associate with cannabis. Every drink on ShopKanna uses plant-derived Delta-9 THC. We don't carry products with Delta-8 or other synthetic or chemically converted cannabinoids.
Dosing & effects
How much THC should I start with?
If you're new to THC, start with a microdose: 1 to 2mg. That's enough to feel a subtle mood lift without any impairment. If that feels comfortable, try 3 to 5mg next time. Most of our customers land somewhere in the 2 to 5mg range as their regular dose. We cap everything at 10mg per serving, and even that's only for experienced consumers who know their tolerance.
How long does it take to feel effects?
Most THC beverages kick in within 15 to 30 minutes, which is faster than traditional edibles (which can take 1 to 2 hours). Some brands use nano-emulsified THC, which can hit in as little as 10 to 15 minutes. The liquid format and emulsification technology make drinks more predictable than gummies or baked goods.
How long do the effects last?
Typically 2 to 4 hours for a standard dose (2 to 5mg). Higher doses (6 to 10mg) can last longer, up to 5 or 6 hours. The curve is gentler than you might expect: a gradual come-up, a plateau, and a smooth wind-down. No crash, no hangover.
Can I take too much? What happens if I do?
You can overdo it, yes. Taking more than your tolerance allows can cause anxiety, an elevated heart rate, dry mouth, or just feeling uncomfortably high. It's unpleasant but not dangerous, and it passes. The fix is simple: start low, wait at least 45 minutes before having another, and don't stack doses. If you do overdo it, find a calm spot, drink water, and wait it out.
Will THC drinks show up on a drug test?
Yes. Standard drug tests look for THC metabolites, and they can't distinguish between hemp-derived and other sources of THC. Even a single low-dose drink can potentially trigger a positive result. If you're subject to drug testing, THC beverages are not the right choice for you.
Can I mix THC drinks with other substances?
We don't recommend it. THC can amplify the effects of other substances, and combining them makes dosing unpredictable. If you take prescription medications, talk to your doctor before trying THC beverages. THC can interact with certain medications, particularly those metabolized by the liver.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship to 36 states. We don't ship to Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington due to state-level restrictions on hemp THC products. This list changes as states update their laws, and we adjust accordingly.
Do I need to be 21 to order?
Yes, no exceptions. We require age verification at checkout and we age-gate the entire site. This is an adult product and we treat it that way. We believe the industry should hold itself to 21+ even where state law doesn't explicitly require it.
How long does shipping take?
Most orders ship within 1 to 2 business days and arrive in 3 to 5 business days via ground shipping. Exact timing depends on your location and the brands in your order. You'll get a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
What's your return policy?
Due to the nature of consumable products, we can't accept returns on opened items. If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, contact us at hi@shopkanna.com with photos and your order number and we'll make it right.
Product quality & curation
How do you choose which brands to carry?
We're selective. Every brand on ShopKanna has to meet our curation standards: naturally extracted Delta-9 THC only (no synthetics), under 0.3% THC, batch-level third-party lab testing, honest dosage labeling, and responsible packaging that doesn't appeal to minors. We also taste everything. If a product doesn't deliver a genuinely good drinking experience, we don't carry it.
Are your products lab tested?
Every product on ShopKanna has a current Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an accredited third-party lab. These tests verify cannabinoid content, confirm the label matches the contents, and screen for contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, and residual solvents. If a brand can't provide current COAs, we don't carry them.
What does "Farm Bill compliant" mean?
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and its derivatives, including THC, as long as the product contains under 0.3% THC. "Farm Bill compliant" means a product meets that standard: it's derived from legal hemp, uses naturally extracted cannabinoids, and stays within the THC threshold. Every product on ShopKanna is Farm Bill compliant.
Why don't you carry Delta-8 products?
Delta-8 THC at consumer-product concentrations is synthesized from CBD in a lab using chemical conversion. It doesn't occur naturally in hemp at usable levels. Our curation standards require naturally extracted cannabinoids only. We believe in selling what the plant actually makes, and Delta-9 is the real thing.
What other cannabinoids are in these drinks?
It depends on the product. Many drinks are THC-only, while others include CBD (for a more balanced, even-keeled effect), CBN (commonly used in sleep formulas), or full-spectrum hemp extract (which includes the plant's natural range of cannabinoids and terpenes). Each product page lists the exact cannabinoid profile so you know what you're getting.
